The objectives of this intervention were to improve financial risk protection in terms of access to medication for 200 persons; improved access to quality maternal care for 700 nursing mothers and their babies. This was against the backdrop of Nigeria’s maternal mortality rate at 800 deaths per 100,000 births and contributing an estimated 20% to global maternal mortality.

This was achieved through the provision of equipment which included- delivery beds, drip stands, nebulizer, fetal doppler, and infant and adult weighing scale with height. Also, 14 different essential drugs were provided in manifold so as to last the beneficiaries for several weeks to months.
